This autumn, Northfield Shopping Centre is proud to welcome Operation Christmas Child, giving visitors the opportunity to make a meaningful difference to the life of a child in need overseas.
On Saturday 24th October, from 10am to 4pm, the Operation Christmas Child team will be located outside Iceland, where visitors can pick up an information leaflet and an empty shoebox to begin their gift-filled journey.
The idea is simple: fill a shoebox with new, thoughtful gifts that will bring joy to a child who may otherwise receive very little. Donors are also encouraged to include a personal note or photograph, helping children learn more about the person who has shown them kindness and care.
Once your shoebox is packed, return it to the team on Saturday 14th November, between 10am and 3pm, when they will be collecting completed boxes. These gifts will then be distributed to children across Africa, Central Asia, the Middle East and Eastern Europe.
Every shoebox is an opportunity to bring hope, happiness and encouragement to a child who needs it most.
Join us this October and November and help spread a little festive magic.
Send a shoebox. Change a life.
